Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elis Taylor is actress, American stage and screen actor and producer. She is most famous as a film actress due to her role on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She received an B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis is is an American producer and actress who has worked in theater and television as well, is actively involved in both the film and theater screen. Her acting journey began as a theater actress and then appeared in several television series and independent and mainstream films. The actress was famous for her role as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered reviews, and she also received a number of accolades. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she was a part of the cast in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film career is highlighted through her performances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
