Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a popular American singer and actor. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is an RN and Tom Bell, a television news director. Kristen is from Polish origin (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen was able to show a flair for the arts at the age of a child. She was just 12 when she attended her first audition, and was able to win the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother prior to the age of 13 and was cast as a model for television and newspaper commercials. Also, Bell began taking private acting classes. Bell made an appearance as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, where she took part in musical and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school and she won the role of Dorothy. Bell then moved into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell left the university in 2001 to take on the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In the was the same year that she also made her first credited debut in Pootie Tang (2001), however, her performance was cut and her appearance exists only in the credit sequence. Bell was in Broadway in The Crucible, a revival with Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
